Easy Jailbreak for IOS devices

Head on over to www.jailbreakme.com or click on photo and follow instructions it will let you know if device able to jailbreak, :) leave comments below, what's your favourite Cydia apps?

Top 5 Android Tablets

1. Asus Eee Pad Transformer
Best Android tablet for: replacing your netbook

Not only is it powerful and well featured, it's designed to work with a keyboard dock which turns it into a Android-powered netbook. What's more, it costs just £429 on launch, with the keyboard - £379 without. Look out also for the Asus Eee Pad Slider which comes packing a slide-out keyboard - it's coming soon and promises great things!

2. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
Best Android tablet for: the out-and-out tablet experience

This has been banned in Europe for the time being as Apple has filed an injunction to stop the sale, as they believe Samsung has copied numerous iPad ideas

3. Motorola Xoom
Best Android tablet for: sleek good looks and solid performance

Best Android tablet for: sleek good looks and solid performance

The Motorola Xoom was the first Honeycomb tablet to hit the shelves, and while it's a lovely piece of kit, its very expensive. Current prices are floating around the £459 which is simply too high! In all other respects, Solid build quality, decent battery life, good performance. If the price drops by another £100, this could become the iPad rival Motorola wants it to be.

4. LG Optimus Pad

Best Android tablet for: Playing around with 3D

Everyone is enjoying 3D. The tablet has dual-5MP cameras which work together to shoot 3D images and record 3D footage. Cool, huh? The problem is that there's no 3D screen, so if you want to watch your 3D movies you'll need to either plug the tablet into a 3D TV or watch in anaglyph 3D on the tablet's screen. If you're crazy about 3D, this is your next Android tablet. Personally I would just save 3D for the big screen, can't beat a good film like Inception in 3D :)

7. HTC Flyer

Best Android tablet for: Portability and fans of Sense UI

HTC has decided to release the tablet running on Android Gingerbread, However, the HTC Sense offers a new range of widgets and content to mask the fact it's running older versions of the OS (although a Honeycomb update is imminent). The new tablet has a 7-inch LCD screen, and comes with an aluminium unibody shell that feels very nice in the hand. However, with a price of nearly £600, can this tablet compete? I don't think so!

Leave comments on what tablet you use and what you think :)

Batman Dark Knight Rises Batwing Video leak

Civilian Ross Petrocelli spotted a mysterious vehicle going through the Wabash Tunnel in Pittsburgh, on the way to the set of Christopher Nolan's final Batman adventure The Dark Knight Rises. There is heavy speculation that this vehicle is the Batwing, which has long been rumored to be one of Bruce Wayne's (Christian Bale) new hi-tech contraptions in the film. I have also found a short video clip, click on image to view video :)

Nintendo details 3DS Ambassadors programme for Europe

Nintendo has confirmed details of its 3DS Ambassadors programme for European users.

The promotion grants customers who purchased the system before August 12 ten NES and ten Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games free.

Users will receive their first round of NES games on September 1. Nintendo previously indicated that these titles will later be upgraded with multiplayer, an electronic manual and save points.

The save and restore option will eventually be replaced with a Virtual Console suspend function, which will introduce a quick save function. This feature will arrive when the games are available to the general public through the eShop.

Game Boy Advance titles will carry a save function throughout. These games will only be available to Ambassador subscribers, and will include an electronic manual, but no VC Suspend or Restore Point support. The console will not enter sleep mode if its lid is closed while a GBA game is running.

A firmware update will be issued later this year, enabling users to transfer NES and Game Boy games between 3DS consoles. All 20 Ambassador titles will be distributed before the end of 2011.

IEEE's 802.22 standard can deliver broadband to 62 miles away

The industry standards body IEEE has officially published its new IEEE 802.22 standard, which uses empty spaces in the TV frequency spectrum to deliver fast broadband to a vast area.

According to the association's ambitious claims, 802.22 could deliver speeds of up to 22Mbps to devices and homes as far as 62 miles away from a Wi-Fi hotspot.

This gives the network a 12,000 square-mile-reach, meaning you could theoretically get internet coverage to the entire United States with around 300 devices, or cover London 20 times over with just one wireless station.

"This technology is especially useful for serving less densely populated areas, such as rural areas, and developing countries where most vacant TV channels can be found," a spokesperson for the standards body said.

This so-called "whitespace" -- the unused airwaves between broadcast TV channels -- has been gaining momentum in the technology community. Dell, Google and Microsoft are all early adopters of the new standard, and the latter is even testing it in the UK.

A Microsoft-led consortium (including BBC, BT, BSkyB and a number of organisations that don't have a B in their intitialism) has been testing networks in the white space in Cambridge since earlier this year.

But there are still some substantial hurdles to overcome. Tim Newton from Neul, the company running the radio side of the white-space trials in Cambridge, expressed the many engineering challenges in getting the system working, at this June's Future of Wireless conference.

There are also worries that the white space will interfere with broadcast channels -- the National Association of Broadcasters has been lobbying against the use of white space because of this. The IEEE, however, says 802.22 works, "without interfering with reception of existing TV broadcast stations."

There are also plenty of hurdles to leap with Parliament and independent communications regulator Ofcom before the protocol can be used more widely in Britain.

Kinect / Arduino hack makes stuffed monkey dance for your amusement

Just when you thought that people had squeezed the last drop of creativity out of Microsoft's Kinect, something like this comes along. It's a stuffed monkey with a robotic skeleton that can mimic the movements of the person standing in front of it. "Monkey Business" is an art installation of sorts created by Jan M. Sieber and Ralph Kistler. It uses a camera sensor from a Kinect, an Arduino mircocontroller, and 10 servomotors. The smirking robo-monkey, meanwhile, is suspended from the wall, giving it a full range of movement. The resulting video is pretty darn delightful. Click on photo to go to watch video, enjoy :)

'Modern Warfare 3' Survival mode 'widens DLC possibilities'

Modern Warfare 3's Survival mode will provide more opportunities for new Spec Ops content after release.

Creative strategist Robert Bowling said that because Survival mode uses multiplayer maps it will give players "a lot more mileage" from future map packs.

"It widens the possibilities and the opportunities because [Survival will] utilise multiplayer maps in Survival mode, so it allows you to get a lot more mileage out of all that content than you could do before," he told Digital Spy.

While Bowling could not fully confirm that future downloadable content would integrate into Spec Ops as Infinity Ward "haven't even started thinking about DLC", maps are currently being designed in tandem for both multiplayer and Survival.

"That's what the Spec Ops designer does, he goes in and looks at the multiplayer map on how it would be a good Spec Ops map, and that's when he starts rebalancing things and thinks, 'Where's a good balance for the weapon armouries, where's a good kill box area?', stuff like that."But when you're looking at the philosophy of designing placements in a Spec Ops map it's very similar to how you'd design a placement for Search & Destroy and Domination, about where you'll put the objective points. So it's the same sort of mentality of making sure that a map can be universally enjoyed across all game types."

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on November 8 worldwide.

'Angry Birds', 'Bejeweled', Zynga form part of new Google+ games service

Google has launched a new gaming service on Google+.

The free channel, which is currently rolling out across the network, includes games by Rovio, PopCap, Zynga and Bioware.

When games are available to all users, a new 'Games' button will appear at the top of each user's Google+ stream, giving access to the games and allowing players to view game updates from the people in their circle. Game updates will remain separate from a user's circle streams, preventing the clogging of newsfeeds experienced by some Facebook users with games.

"You can see the latest game updates from your circles, browse the invites you've received and check out games that people you know have played recently," Google announced on the Google blog.

"The Games page is also where your game accomplishments will appear. So you can comfortably share your latest high score - your circles will only see the updates when they're interested in playing games too."

Google added: "If you're not interested in games, it's easy to ignore them. Your stream will remain focused on conversations with the people you care about."

Games currently available on Google+:

Angry Birds (Rovio)
Bejeweled Blitz (PopCap)
Bubble Island (wooga)
City of Wonder (Playdom)
Collapse! Blast (GameHouse)
Crime City (Funzio)
Diamond Dash (wooga)
Dragon Age Legends (BioWare San Francisco, formerly EA2D)
Dragons Of Atlantis (Kabam)
Edge World (Kabam)
Flood-It! (LabPixies)
Monster World (wooga)
Sudoku
Wild Ones (Playdom)
Zombie Lane (Digital Chocolate)
Zynga Poker (Zynga)

Developer Funzio announced that the Google+ version of Crime City will be a "standalone version," indicating that the Google+ and Facebook versions will not be compatible with one another. Developer Kabam revealed that its next game Edge World will launch simultaneously on Facebook and Google+.

Google previously invested $200 million in Zynga for the new games platform. Zynga Poker is the only game available from the developer at the launch of games on Google+.
